coolie contractors. I knew the deceased as A Shing. About 1st February some of his men employed by us threatened to strike. I reported it to A Shing by telephone. He said that he would see what could be done to stop it and the strike did not come off. Alexander Roy Henderson Phillips.

Deposition at p. 5 When half way up Wardley Street "I saw 2 European etc. put in 2 red crusses". I say it is correct. I said yesterday "I first saw Mr. Green a few feet from the railing by the City Hall". It is not correct. At the view I said this morning that the stout man I first saw disappeared. That man was not Mr. Green. I was not correct in what I stated yesterday on that point. I don't recollect if the pillars were plastered in the square. I

As to the revolver I should say a running man would have to throw it over the rails. I did not see it.
